These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any purchase of mortuary equipment, stretchers, or related products ("Products") from Safe Lift (Pty) Ltd, a company duly incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa

2. Products and Use
2.1 Our Products include, but are not limited to, mortuary equipment, stretchers, trolleys, refrigeration units, and accessories.
2.2 All Products are intended for professional and institutional use only (including funeral homes, hospitals, mortuaries, and emergency services).
2.3 The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that Products are used, installed, and maintained in accordance with applicable laws, industry standards, and manufacturer instructions.
3. Pricing and Quotations
3.1 All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
3.3 Quotations are valid for [e.g. 7 / 14 / 30] days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3.4 Prices exclude delivery, installation, training, and Value Added Tax (VAT), unless expressly stated otherwise.
4. Orders and Acceptance
4.1 An order is deemed confirmed only once we issue written acceptance or an official invoice.
4.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order due to stock availability, pricing errors, or other reasonable circumstances.
4.3 Custom-made or special-order Products may not be cancelled once production has commenced.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment terms are strictly [e.g. 100% upfront / 50% deposit and balance before delivery], unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.2 We reserve the right to withhold delivery until full payment has been received.
5.3 Late payments may attract interest at the maximum rate permitted by the National Credit Act, where applicable.
6. Delivery and Risk
6.1 Delivery timelines are estimates only and not guaranteed.
6.2 Risk in the Products passes to the purchaser upon delivery.
6.3 The purchaser must inspect Products on delivery and report any visible damage or shortages within 48 hours.
7. Returns and Refunds
7.1 Returns are subject to our written approval.
7.2 No returns will be accepted for:

Products that have been used, installed, or altered

Products returned without original packaging
7.3 Approved returns may be subject to a handling or restocking fee.
7.4 Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time and may exclude delivery costs.
8. Warranties
8.1 Products may carry manufacturer warranties, which will be passed on to the purchaser where applicable.
8.2 We do not provide any warranties beyond those expressly stated in writing.
8.3 The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, improper installation, power surges, or normal wear and tear.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational harm.
9.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the purchaser for the specific Product giving rise to the claim.
10. Compliance with Laws
10.1 The purchaser is responsible for compliance with all applicable South African laws, regulations, and health and safety standards, including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is our intellectual property or licensed to us.
11.2 No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.
12. Privacy and POPIA
12.1 We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

13. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, strikes, supply chain disruptions, or governmental actions.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
15. Amendments
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website and will apply from the date of publication.
